Dog Fouling

Dog Fouling.
Magor with Undy Town Council appreciate that most of our communities’ dog owners behave responsibly when it comes to the disposal of their dog waste.
However, The Council Office have in recent weeks received complaints about dog faeces left on pavements and grass verges in all parts of the community.
Clearly, not ALL dog owners exercise the lawful requirement to pick up their dog waste and dispose of it responsibly.
A related matter refers to dogs being walked by young children who do not pick up the dog waste. This has been witnessed by a number of people.
Council have 33 Dog Waste Bins located in the community in an effort to ensure that our pavements, grass verges, play areas and public open spaces are kept free of dog excrement in order to safeguard everyone, especially children. This is not the only way in which dog waste can be disposed. It can be put in any of the Council Litter Bins or it can be taken home and disposed of with your ‘black bin waste’.
Please for the benefit of the whole of our communities’ exercise compliance with a lawful requirement to pick up and responsibly dispose of your dog waste and please, could parents ensure that when their children take out the family pet dog, that they must pick up their dogs waste and are in possession of suitable bags to do this.
Thank You
Magor with Undy Town Council.
