MAGOR RAILWAY STATION

Magor with Undy Town Council is pleased to see that Transport for Wales have launched a consultation into the designs and facilities proposed for the new stations, one of which is Magor with Undy Walkway station. This is your opportunity to shape the new station design. The Town Council wishes to acknowledge the years of work Magor Action Group on Rail have dedicated to campaigning for a station in Magor. Please see the details from TfW below for how to respond.

 

Traffic for Wales have announced that between 16 October 2023 and 14 January 2024, a public consultation is being held to gather feedback on proposals being developed for five new railway stations between Cardiff Central and Severn Tunnel Junction, and new cross-border rail services.

• Somerton station at Lliswery Baptist Church on 23 October, 13:00 – 19:30

• Llanwern station at Llanwern Village Hall on 24 October, 12:00 – 19:30

• Cardiff East (Newport Road) station at St Peters Rugby Football Club on 26 October 2023, 12:00 – 19:30

• Newport West station at Maesglas Community Centre on 6 November, 12:00 – 19:30

• Llanwern station at Glan Llyn Primary School on 7 November, 16:45 – 18:30

• Magor and Undy station at Magor and Undy Community Hub on 9 November, 12:00 – 19:30


If you would like to respond to the consultation in writing, you can request a printed copy of the survey via engagement@tfw.wales and printed copies of the survey will also be available at all our drop-in events.
