Amenity Land and Green Spaces
Published: 11 August 2023
Dear all residents and businesses of Magor and Undy.
Magor with Undy Town Council held a meeting at 0900 hours on Friday 11th August 2023 consequent to recent developments and issues pertaining to a process of Land Identification for development thereof initiated by Monmouthshire County Council.
The purpose of that meeting was to discuss how best the Town Council could represent the communities of Magor and Undy and protect the limited areas of Amenity Land and Green Spaces which are available within our communities.
In this regard it was accepted that engagement with ‘Professional Services’ that would attend to such issues as Planning, Ecology, Pollution and Green Infrastructure would be required.
To that end the Town Council today agreed to increase budgetary provisions under the existing Budget Heading of Professional Fees in order that enquiries can be made and approaches made if at all required to persons/organizations whose fields of expertise would be essential to ensuring that our Amenity Land and Green Spaces are protected from development.
Thank You
Cllr Carole Hopkins (Mayor) and Cllr Frances Taylor (Deputy Mayor)
