Can you Sew?

Published: 08 April 2020

There is a need for ‘scrubs’ and ‘scrub bags’ – the request is for anyone who has sewing skills and a sewing machine and is able to make scrubs from a provided pattern. Alternatively, if you are confident in cutting materials from patterns, the coordinator of the local Aneurin Bevan UHB scrubs team would be very grateful for your help. Scrubs are currently being made out of any suitable material (such as bedding), and scrubs bags are being made from pillow cases. Patterns are available and can be downloaded (when printing select ‘actual size’ in the print options - as default is usually ‘fit to page’ and will result in wrong measurements):

Perhaps you just have some spare/old sheets/duvet covers/pillow cases that you could donate for converting to scrubs or scrub bags. Please contact Sara by email: if you can help in anyway.
