Monmouthshire County Council Hub Comes to Magor
Published: 12 September 2017
TODAY’S MON CC POP-UP HUB (12th Sept 2017)
A huge thank you to those who called in to the Monmouthshire County Council Hub today – held in Magor Baptist Church. Staff dealt with queries relating to Blue Badges and Bus Passes, whilst residents collected recycling bags including the nappy collection bags and blue food bins and replacement brown garden waste bags.
The Clerk to the Community Council and Cllr Donna James were also on hand to talk to residents about more local issues and handing out leaflets on local walks and how to report dog fouling.
A member of the team from Caldicot Community Hub will be on hand each month to offer the majority of their normal services in our community. Whether it is help with a Blue Badge or Bus pass application, or advice on Council Tax and Housing Benefit, to collecting your recycling bags of renewing or reserving a library book or an enquiry for Community Education - they will do their best to help you.
Going forward you will be able to order, collect and return library books via the Hub every month, and there are plans for the librarians to hold a ‘shared’ reading session and possibly a toddlers Story-time at the Baptist Church on the same day as the Hub.
The local Neighbourhood Policing Team will also hold occasional surgeries the same time as the Hub is open, so if you have any question for the Police then watch out for the dates they will be in attendance at the Hub.
The next Hub date for Magor Baptist Church will be Tuesday 10th October between 11am and 2pm – make a note of it in your diary.
