Revitalised flower planters for Magor Square
The Community Council are committed to improving the visual impact the Village has on residents and visitors and have budgeted towards this for 2017/2018.
To start, several members of the Parks & Open Spaces Committee, together with the clerk and a member of the public have taken on the three large flower planters in Magor Square which were looking tired and bedraggled, planted up with shrubs that were past their sell by date!
Over two Fridays the team have cleared out the old shrubs, replenished with new compost and planted the large tubs up with a variety of colourful pollinator friendly plants, including some fragrant lavender.
In the autumn, the tubs in the Square will be planted up with seasonal plants and bulbs will be planted ready for a colourful display in early Spring.
