Tree Charter

On 6th November 2017 - the 800th anniversary of the influential 1217 Charter of the Forest, the Woodland Trust will launch the 'Charter for Trees, Woods and People'.  They believe the people of the UK have a right to the benefits brought by trees and woods.  The new charter will recognise, celebrate and protect this right.  The Tree Charter will draw its strength from the hundreds of thousands of people across the UK that sign.  Be part of this historic moment, sign the Tree Charter to show your support for the principles and the Woodland Trust will plant a tree in the UK.

Here's the link to sign the Charter:  https://sign.treecharter.uk/page/6023/petition/1

The Community Council have already signed the Charter, and are a 'Tree Charter Branch' and will be planting their own tree later in the autumn.

Don't be left out, sign the Charter now and help make a difference to the future of the planet!  https://sign.treecharter.uk/page/6023/petition/1
