Grants & Financial Assistance
Each year, Magor with Undy Community Council allocates a small pot of money to assist local groups and organisations.
A copy of the Magor with Undy Community Council 'Financial Assistance Policy' is available on request from the clerk, as is a copy of the 'Application for Financial Assistance'
In 2011/2012 the Community Council allocated the following:
- Undy Ladies Football Team - £200
towards the cost of new team kit - Undy Rugby Academy - £200
towards the cost of new post guards and flags - First Magor Scouts - £200
towards the cost of transport to Camp - Magor CIW Primary School - £200
towards the cost of new rugby posts - Wiggles & Giggles Toddler Group - £200
towards the cost of replacement and new play equipment
Grants were also made to:
Caldicot & Magor Citizens Advice Bureau - £1500
Wales Air Ambulance - £250
SARA - £150
Undy & Magor Allotment Association - £500
Mon CC Summer Holiday Scheme - £3300
St Mary's Undy Churchyard - £350
St Mary's Magor Churchyard - £350
Gwent Levels Flood Defence Coastal Group - £300

In 2010/2011 the Community Council allocated the following:
- Undy Primary School - £150
towards Language Equipment to assist in
teaching of the Welsh Language at home
and in school
- Severnside Neighbourhood Policing Team - £450
towards alarmed padlocks and radio PIR to offer at cost price to victims of crime in the Magor, Undy and Llandevenny area.
Clerk to the Council - Beverly Reed, Chair -Donna James, PCSO Ruth James and PC Ashley Turner with some of the Padlock Alarms and PIR alarms bought with the grant
- Gwent Wildlife Trust - Magor Marsh - £200
towards the Wildlife Warriors youth project
The aim of the group is to help the young people:
-develop conservation and wildlife knowledge and skills providing potential work opportunities within the conservation sector in the future
-feel a sense of belonging (specifically to the Wildlife Warrior Group)
-develop pride for the reserve and feel a sense of belonging to Gwent Wildlife Trust
-become recognised by peers as young people who are taking steps to become better citizens and helping their local community
-achieve a GWT Wildlife Warrior Award

- Magor Church In Wales School - £150
towards costs of running the 'Out of School Hours - Holiday Provision Club'
