Best Kept Village Competition

 

Gwent Best Kept Village 2011

Gwent Best Kept Village Competition 2011 was sponsored by James Boyle of Chepstow Garden Centre.

The villages of Magor and Undy were both entered in the category for villages with a population of between 1001 to 4999.

A presentation evening was held at the Chepstow Garden Centre on Friday 9th September 2011

The village of Magor won the section for Best Kept War Memorial, for the second year running. 
The Certificate was collected by Cllr Rob Finnigan.
 

 Undy Primary School were one of the nine schools across the County that entered, but unfortunately they were unsuccessful.

In previous years the villages have been quite sucessful, winning both Best Kept Village, and Best Kept Churchyard on several occasions.

At the presentation evening held at the Chepstow Garden Centre the village of Magor won the section for Best Kept War Memorial.  The Certificate was collected by Cllr Rob Finnigan.

Gwent Best Kept Village Competition 2009 was sponsored by James Boyle of Chepstow Garden Centre.

The villages of Magor and Undy were both entered in the category for villages with a population of between 1001 to 4999.

At the presentation evening held at County Hall Cwmbran the village of Magor was 'Runner Up' in the Best Kept Village section of the competition.
